Waiting for hot water?

How long do I have to wait?! Waiting for hot water in your shower or at your faucet can wear on your patience. The main reason you have to wait is two-fold: 1) the distance the hot water has to travel from the water heater to you; and 2) the cold water that is already in the pipe has to be cleared first with the hot water behind it. If that’s just too much waiting for you, there are some options: 1) havea recirculation line installed into your system; or 2) convert to a tankless water heater; or 3) have small point of use water heaters for the faucets or showers furthest away from your water heater.
