Be kind to your garbage disposal.

Just put it down the drain! Well, maybe not. Even for those of us who have garbage disposals in our sinks, it’s worth noting their purpose and capacities. Garbage disposals are meant to deal with the smallers bits left on dishes AFTER we’ve scraped off our plates into the trash can. Essentially, they are built to handle the small items normally caughtby a basket strainer. This is why so many people have issues with their disposals around the holidays because they typically are prepping more food than normal. Be kind to your disposal and always run cold water when using it, and running the water for 15 seconds after your done.
